Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, at Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian artist and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. Half the World Away from Oasis was released by the group Oasis was recorded to accompany an advertisement of John Lewis, and Nature Boy is the Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway by her, also gave the song a boost of recognition. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering a piano hidden in her attic, and being captivated by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music, not for work or for a passion, but as an opportunity to develop. The singer began to write songs of her own. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as an appreciation for the style of Bjork. When her mother told her that the songs she wrote could be used to not make her famous however, but to encourage people to see the importance of their work and influence in the world, she began playing them on stage. When she was six She began playing the piano. At age nine, she was writing music. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she revealed her plans to her parents. Aurora wasn't a dream. According to her, she just loves writing music. For her, the music she writes is how she feels about any thing.
